    Old Dominion Freight Line is recruiting for a Data Integration Analyst.  This role will build data integration solutions utilizing Data Integration, Data Governance and Data Quality tools and define database reporting schemas. Work directly within project teams to build data migration solutions that are stable, scalable, and follow best practices.  Provide practical advice based on experience with real life data integration projects using the ODI, EDQ, KETL, Reltio or similar software stacks. 


    • Work closely with Application Architects, Developers, Operations and DBAs in a collaborative environment regarding ETL and Data Quality solutions actively being developed
    • Provide guidance and evaluation for ETL and Data Quality solutions actively being developed including performance optimization and high availability
    • Analyze, design, develop and unit test data integration programs from detailed and high level specifications and assist in troubleshooting
    • Map business requirements into ETL Packages, and Load Plans using source to target mapping documents
    • Convert Logical Data Models into Physical Data Models
    • Design and build components to assist with automation of common tasks
    • Scrub and cleanse source data according to requirements and standards
    • Create both Design and Interface docs in support of data migration projects
    • Collaborate with the Development teams in a multi-user environment to promote code changes into source code control for deployment to INT, QA, Load and Production environments
    • Monitor ETL and data quality jobs and activities
    • Support ETL and MDM software packages
    • Assist less experienced Data Integration Analysts with technical issues and questions
    • Rotate weekly on-call responsibilities



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience


    • 4 years of experience working with ETL, Data Quality or Master Data Management (MDM) tools
    • Proficient with ETL and Data Quality Tools in Data Warehouse and Master Data Management (MDM) environments
    • Proficient with ETL and Data Quality Administration
    • Solid knowledge of RDBMS systems including Oracle, SQL Server and DB2
    • Proficient with analysis, design, development and implementation of major database structures
    • Experience using SQL, SQL Plus and PL/SQL and data modeling tools
    • Problem-solving ability and proven ability to work multiple deadlines
    • Demonstrated creativity and intellectual curiosity around problem resolution and solution definition
    • Detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


    • Background in analytics, or Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or statistical analysis
    • Exposure to SAS, R, or other statistical modeling tools
    • Experience with Agile Development or Dev-Ops methodology
    • Exposure to iSeries DB2
    • Familiarity with Embarcadero ER/Studio
    • Experience with UNIX
